ONLY 777 of these produced worldwide. This vehicle will be worth over a million Rand in a few years and for good reason, it’s a genuine collector’s item. This is the most prestigious and opulent AMG produced in 2008 and for many years to come. The CL range is actually an S-Class Coupe, this vehicle is the Gulfstream for the road, and you do not get a better, more luxurious or rarer car than this. Now let’s talk about the best part, the engine. The power is produced by the 6.0-litre V12 twin turbo engine (also in the SL65 AMG) which develops 450kW of power and 1000Nm of torque, which Mercedes says gets it to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and to 200km/h, if you feel the need, in 13.3. It’s electronically limited to 250 km/h, but apparently is capable of 335km/h once the limiter is removed. WHAT MAKES THIS CAR SO SPECIAL? • This is the only one currently for sale in SA • AMG • Full service history by mileage • Immaculate condition • Interior is like new • Night vision • Bluetooth • AMG sports suspension To be honest, there are just far too many extras to mention, I would be here for a VERY long time. VEHICLE AND ENGINE SPECS: • Engine manufacturer: Daimler-Benz M275 E60 AMG • Charge system: 2 turbochargers • Cylinders alignment: V 12 • Displacement: 5980 cm3 • Horsepower net: 450 kW / 603 hp • Torque net: 1000 Nm • Traction: RWD (rear- wheel drive) • Gearbox: Daimler-Benz 5G-Tronic • Top speed: 250 km/h (limited) 335 Km/h (without limiter) • 0-100 km/h (sec): 4.4 • Fuel consumption: 14.8 l/100km (factory claim/Combined average) WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THIS CAR WHEN WE BOUGHT IT? • The driver’s seat was slightly worn out, we have repaired the seat. • We have booked the car into our trusted Mercedes Benz specialist Corvette motors for a full checkup, and we will repair/replace whatever they tell us to, we will also be doing all routine maintenance checks. This is as good as it gets for me, I could listen to this V12 starting the whole day, I find myself just staring at during the day when I walk around the shop.
